In this blog post, I will share a 3-day itinerary for a trip to Buenos Aires. This itinerary includes a mix of activities, such as visiting popular tourist attractions, exploring local neighborhoods, and enjoying the city’s delicious food and wine.

Day 1

  • Arrive at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) and take a taxi or Uber to your Hotel or Airbnb.
  • Go for a walk around Plaza de Mayo and visit the Casa Rosada, there are many street markets around the area especially during the weekends.
  • Have lunch at a cafe in the area, couple of empanadas and and ice cold beer. You simply cannot go wrong with that.
  • Take a free walking tour of the city center, or just walk around. Blend with the locals and try to have a chat with them. If you see kids playing football join them.
  • Visit the Obelisco and BA sign.
  • Have dinner at a restaurant in the city center. Go for a decent Argentinian steak with a glass of red wine. Ch

Day 2:

  • Visit the La Boca neighborhood and see the colorful houses in Caminito. You will see street artists, lots of street art and graffiti of Maradona.
  • If you are a football fan, try to watch a Boca Juniors match at La Bombonera stadium. (If you are interested for a ticket contact me via Instagram, and i can help on that)
  • Have lunch at a restaurant in La Boca. Maybe asado with chimichurri and couple of cervezas.
  • Visit the San Telmo neighborhood and browse the antique shops in San Telmo market. (if you are lucky you will see tango dancers performing at the small square next to the market).
  • Have dinner at a restaurant in San Telmo, lots of restaurant to pick from, maybe go for a chorizo or choripan and provoleta. 

Day 3

  • Visit the Recoleta Cemetery and see the tombs of famous Argentines.
  • Visit the MALBA museum and see the modern art collection.
  • During the afternoon walk aim for a yerba mate, like a proper argentinian. The strong taste will give you the boost of a double espresso.
  • Do not force to sit and enjoy a Tango dance. Buenos Aires is the birthplace of tango and if you want to improve your dance move, it is also the perfect place to learn.
  • If you have extra time wander around Puerto Madero.
